Basic elements of the arts (body, space-time).
Did the color green kill Napoleon, are there crushed mummies in 19th century paintings, why do Van Gogh’s sunflowers wither? After all, every work of art hides a fascinating chemical universe inside. In this book we will take a journey through the periodic table and learn about a myriad of artistic materials, including the precious powder that the best master glassmakers guarded with suspicion, the compound that unmasked meticulous forgers or the blue pigment that came from beyond the sea.
Types of space in art
Lists of the elements of art vary, depending on different authors, but generally include the following: space, color, form, texture, value and line. Artists work with these basic elements to compose a work of art. It is not necessary for all of them to appear, although at least two of them must be present.
All the images we see represented are composed by means of the basic elements of plastic expression: point, line, form, texture and color. These elements constitute a language of their own that allows the artist to transmit ideas, sensations, feelings.
In art, the value of a work of art is the price that someone is willing to pay for it at a given time and place. Well, this is influenced by many factors and aspects such as the success and popularity of an artist, the market, places where it has been exhibited, as well as the artistic quality of the work or its author.
Art appraisal, a specific subset of financial appraisal, is the process of estimating the market value of works of art. As such, it is more of a financial concern than an aesthetic one, however, subjective opinions of cultural value also play an important role.

These pieces had a lot of importance in the past, before writing was invented, these objects were the way culture was passed from generation to generation. Each piece came with a story attached to it. When different clans would get together and exchange tools, food and these objects, the story was passed along with the piece and in that way they maintained their traditions.
What are the elements of art
The creation of a visual perspective, which gives the illusion of depth is another element of art used to create a space. In classical painting techniques there is an effort to recreate a three-dimensional space. The correct use of space is an art in itself.

Shape (Shape Figure]] two-dimensional is an area that defines objects in space composed of length and width. It can be geometric (such as squares or circles) or organic (such as natural or free forms). When viewing a work of art, the first thing we observe are representations with a given shape, whether figurative or abstract.
Three-dimensional form is an object with a volume of height, width and depth. These objects include cubes, spheres and cylinders. Three-dimensional form is often used when referring to physical works of art, such as sculptures. Three-dimensional shape is often used when referring to physical works of art, such as sculptures.[3
